I’ve been in marketing all my working life with over 20 years of experience in digital marketing. Most recently as Head of Marketing for a luxury travel company for eight years, followed by five years as a freelance marketer and virtual marketing assistant. Helping gorgeous small businesses like yours learn the principles and technical side of marketing through mentoring, consulting and hands-on support.

Ways we can work together...

  • One-off projects

    You can book blocks of 5, 10 or 20+ hours so we can smash through a specific task together. We'll chat about the support you're after and agree times and costs before we start.

  • Regular support

    If you know you'll need a little extra support for a bit, you can book 1-2 days a week for a few months at a time. Knowing I'm there to have your back when things get hectic.

  • Ongoing maintenance

    Help after your initial project to maintain websites or techy bits. I can be there for a few hours a month for as long as you need.

MY RATES AND AVAILABILITY

I'd love to help support you and your brilliant biz.

My hourly rate is £40.

To keep it simple, you'll pay the same flat hourly rate no matter how much or little we work together.

At the moment I'm available to get stuck into your project within a week or two.

I work remotely so you can be anywhere. I’m based at home in a little village in Stoke-on-Trent in the Midlands (UK). Kept company by my trusty rescue pooch, Ellie.

A few helpful FAQs

What happens after I get in touch?

We'll have a little chat about the support you're after, either by email, phone or video call. Whichever you're most comfortable with. If I can help and we're a good fit, we'll agree timings and costs for either your one-off project or ongoing support. There's absolutely no pressure. If I can help, brill. If you choose another route, that's cool too. You do what's right for you.

What happens next if we work together?

I'll do a tiny internal yay. Then we'll both sign a simple contract to confirm what we've agreed. We'll have a kick-off chat to nail down the details of your project and share everything we both need to get started. Then, we'll get stuck in.

How do we keep in touch during the project?

I'll email you or share a voice note with regular updates. With ongoing support I'll usually share an update after a day of working on your project. For one-off projects, I'll keep you updated when I have something substantial to share. I won't waste your time with back-and-forth for the sake of it.

Can I add more time if I need extra support?

Of course! If there's other stuff I can help with and I have availability, you can book extra support whenever you need it. I've got you, bro.

Can you create content for me?

Nope. Your personality is what makes your business special and you're uniquely qualified to tell your story from your heart. I believe your content is best when it comes from you. If you're after help with content creation or social media management I'd recommend working with an experienced content creator or social media specialist.

What's The Jaunty Fig got to do with anything?

Good question! The Jaunty Fig is my little clothing business I run alongside being Marketing VA. I popped this marketing page on my existing website rather than faffing around with a separate site, because why the heck not. I'm resourceful like that.

How do you juggle two businesses?

The Jaunty Fig is still a baby, born in June 2022. I spend three days a week supporting marketing clients and two days on The Jaunty Fig. No crossover, no distractions. When I'm working on your project I'm on it 100%.
